N.E.I.U. Criminal Justice Club Approved for Charter

 

The N.E.I.U. Criminal Justice Club is proud to announce that we are officially a club @NEIU. We are going to plan our first meeting and should have a date soon. More news to come!!!

Five individuals have been added to the FBI’s Cyber Most Wanted list for their roles in domestic and international hacking and fraud crimes collectively involving hundreds of thousands of victims and tens of millions of dollars in losses.

 

In announcing the addition of the new subjects—along with rewards of up to $100,000 for information leading to their arrests—Executive Assistant Director of our Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch Richard McFeely said, “Throughout its history, the FBI has depended on the public’s help and support to bring criminals to justice. That was true in the gangster era, and it’s just as true in the cyber era. We need the public’s help to catch these individuals who have made it their mission to spy on and steal from our nation and our citizens.”

September 30, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Chicago police are now linking four armed robberies to a man posing as an officer.

 

The incidents happened in the South Shore and South Chicago neighborhoods. One happened in the 8700-block of South Harper last Friday.The victim, Damien Dyer, tells ABC7 the offender identified himself as a Chicago police officer and told him to get into the car. The cop impersonator then drove him to an alley, pulled out a gun and robbed him.Investigators say the offender calls himself "Officer Franklin."

A new case of a police impersonator robbing a man happened late Saturday night at 70th and South Justine.

Come join the Criminal Justice Club by kicking off the new semester with an exciting club experience. It will be held on Jan. 21st @ 3-5 p.m. in the CBM Rm. 113. If you are interested in learning about the club or becoming a member this is event that you should not miss.

Are you preparing to “Answer the Call”

 

If you are planning to take the ChicagoPolice entrance exam then this  work shop is for you. The members of the criminal justice club will be hosting a work shop on how to prepare for the upcoming exam and what things you should know. Date & Time TBD

 

Police are searching for a group of hammer-wielding attackers who robbed three people in separate incidents on the city's North Side.

 

Chicago police say there have been at least three attacks since last May. The most recent incident took place Monday in the 3000-block of North Seminary. You've heard of people being robbed at gunpoint. In these cases, a hammer was the weapon of choice. And many of the victims were badly-outnumbered.

The most recent robbery happened early Monday morning, here in the 3000-block of North Seminary Avenue. The victim struck in the leg by a hammer after being approached by a group of six people.
